About AlanThank you for taking the time to visit my website and allowing me the pleasure of telling you a few things about me and my world of Art.
Isn't real art so fantastic! It is great to see that in the modern world full of ipads and electronic gadgets there are still so many people as passionate about creating art as myself. I have always loved painting. It's been a passion all my life, and over recent years I discovered the pleasure of sharing what I have learnt with others through my workshops and classes I run at my home studio in Portsmouth. If you are interested in joining me at one of my painting in pastel workshop please click into the following link _ I believe everybody has a creative side and it’s my job to help people who want to improve their current techniques and skills to a higher level or help a complete beginner start their journey of discovering their hidden artistic talents. I can assure you my passion for art is infectious! I am an award winning photographic realist artist. I seek to bring as much detail and depth to my paintings and drawings as possible. My professional name is Alan Longmore, but I also publish work under my married name Alan Wells - mainly through Deviant Art. My main areas of work are portraits, animals, historical and fantasy. Pastels, oils, acrylics and graphite are my main mediums, but I never let the opportunity pass to experiment with new or other mediums to present a painting in a different light, or to seek to enhance my subject. Experimenting in this way can be so exciting, as you never sure of the end result! I really enjoy giving demonstrations and meeting people at shows to discuss the wonderful subject of art. Why don't you pop along for a chat at one of the shows that I will be attending during the year. If you are interested in popping along please click onto the link |
