The short life of Amy Winehouse was to me, and so many other fans, tragic. Not just because of her youth, 27, but the loss of an extraordinary voice and song writing talent.
Just recently I watched a couple of old interviews with Amy, and seeing her again spurned me on to do a graphite drawing of her, something I had been meaning to do for a long time.
I hope to capture Amy's character and vulnerability.
