
I was inspired by the idea of what a Stone Age female hunter would look like.
Although I thought it unlikely that they would be tattooed at that time, I felt that tribal marks in ochre or similar would be the norm.
This was drawn with Caran d’ Ache H, B, Be, B4, B6 pencils and Winsor & Newton 100Ibs/200 gsm smooth salinee cartridge A4 paper.
This was one of those drawing that went well from the start. The composition, the skull helmet and the fur. To be able to just let my imagination roam was great fun!
